Abheygarh in Khetri is one of the newest heritage-style wedding venues in Rajasthan, and almost nothing about its wedding pricing is published. The resort does not list wedding rates online. The only price figures you will find are market indications that planner blogs have borrowed from "similar resorts in the region". That is a thin foundation for a budget that will run into tens of lakhs.
So this guide does something different. It separates what is actually listed about Abheygarh (rooms, venues, capacities, inclusions, distances) from what is only estimated (per-plate rates, hire charges, totals). It then rebuilds the budget the way a planner does: room-night by room-night, plate by plate, with tax and a buffer. You will get a working model for 100, 150, 200 and 250 guests, a lean version for a smaller budget, a sensitivity test showing which decisions move the bill, and a checklist for the charges that rarely appear in a headline figure.
We plan destination weddings across Rajasthan, and a venue like Abheygarh raises questions that a Jaipur or Udaipur palace does not: a three-hour drive from Delhi, a layout of staggered levels, a small review base and a pricing sheet that is still being written. We cover each one below.
These are the published figures in circulation. They are market indications, not Abheygarh rate-card prices, and the main competing guide says so itself: its table is labelled "Market Indication" and is based on similar resorts in the region.
| Item | Published range | Our reading |
|---|---|---|
| Venue hire (banquet and lawn) | ₹2,00,000 - ₹7,00,000 | Depends on space, hours and number of functions; ask what is included |
| Per-plate catering | ₹1,000 - ₹2,200 | Wide band; menu tier and function type decide where you land |
| Décor and lighting | ₹3,00,000 - ₹12,00,000+ | Heritage architecture lets a restrained design look expensive |
| Guest rooms (wedding block) | ₹5,000 - ₹14,000 per room | Planner estimate; confirm what the rate includes |
| Guest rooms (online booking sites) | About ₹19,200 - ₹26,600 per night | Standard-room average including taxes, for ordinary stays |
| Total, 100 to 250 guests | ₹25 lakh - ₹90 lakh+ | Includes the lean end; our model adds tax and a buffer |
The last two room rows deserve a second look. A wedding room block is bought in bulk, for set dates, usually with breakfast and other inclusions, and negotiated. An online rate is a per-night retail price. Do not apply the retail figure to a 60-room block, and do not assume the block rate will hold on your preferred dates.
Before you trust any number, know how much of the underlying picture is confirmed. We compared the planner listing for the property, a hotel directory listing, a major travel-review listing and the leading competitor guide. Here is where they agree and where they do not.
| Point | What sources say | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Wedding rates | None published by the resort. All price figures are market indications. | Not published |
| Room count | 99 on one listing, 102 on a directory, and a planner listing's own category split (7 + 21 + 60 + 3) adds up to 91 | Conflicting |
| Pools | One outdoor pool on one source; two outdoor and one indoor on another; three pools including a kids' pool on a third | Conflicting |
| Indoor venues | A planner listing says 4 indoor and 6 outdoor, but its own table shows 8 spaces and only 2 indoor | Conflicting |
| Capacity | Total occupancy about 250; individual spaces listed from 80 to 500 | Listed, layout-dependent |
| Operator | Alsisar Hotels brand; client of an architecture practice's portfolio, shown as an ongoing project | Consistent |
| Review base | Rated about 4.5 to 4.7 out of 5 on roughly 22 reviews, and the only listed hotel in Khetri | Small sample |
| Cancellation, payment terms | Marked as applicable but with no detail | Not published |
When a venue is new and its sheet is not public, the contract is the price list. Your first job is to get room count, space-by-space capacity, inclusions, taxes, cancellation terms and outside-vendor policy in writing, and to make every one of them match the others. The checklist in Section 20 is built for that.
Abheygarh is in Khetri, in the Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan's Shekhawati region, on Neem Ka Thana Road, with the Aravalli hills around it. It is run by the Alsisar Hotels brand, which is known in Rajasthan for restored heritage properties. Abheygarh itself reads as a newer build in a heritage idiom: courtyards, terraces and gardens, with venue names such as Sabha Bhawan, Char Bagh, Mardana Chowk and Zanana Deodi that echo the structure of a Rajput palace.
The place name carries real history, and it is worth using in your wedding story. Khetri was the seat of Raja Ajit Singh (1861-1901), a Shekhawat ruler who became a close friend and patron of Swami Vivekananda. They first met in Khetri in June 1891, and Vivekananda returned in 1893 and 1897. It was Ajit Singh who suggested the name "Vivekananda" and who funded the 1893 journey to the Parliament of the World's Religions in Chicago. The old Khetri palace was donated in 1958 for a Ramakrishna Mission centre.
For a wedding, that history gives you a quiet, credible theme for welcome notes, guest tours and a heritage-led design language, without any need to invent a story. Abheygarh does not claim to be the historic palace, and you should not describe it as one in your invitations or social posts.

Khetri is about 200 km south-west of Delhi. One recent guest review puts the drive from Delhi at around three hours. The usual route runs on NH 48 towards Jaipur, past Behror, and then onto state roads towards Khetri. A listing gives the resort's distance from Rewari as 85 km, from the nearest railway station as 12 km, and from an airport (not named) as 152 km. Khetri Fort is about 2.8 km away.
We did not find a verified road distance from Jaipur in the sources we reviewed, so check it on a live map and time it on a weekday morning, not an empty Sunday.
If many of your guests will fly in, plan the Jaipur leg carefully. Our Jaipur destination wedding planning team coordinates arrivals, hotels and coach movement for exactly this kind of two-city guest journey.
The resort offers a mix of indoor and outdoor spaces. The figures below come from a planner listing and are not confirmed by the resort's own wedding materials. Capacities change with layout (banquet, theatre, cocktail, seated dinner), so ask for a floor plan with the exact headcount for each of your functions.
| Space | Type | Listed capacity | Listed size | Natural use |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sabha Bhawan | Indoor banquet hall | 350 | 7,200 sq ft | Sangeet, reception, winter-night functions, rain fallback |
| Kapad Dwar | Indoor | 80 | 1,482 sq ft | Family dinner, mehendi, small ceremonies |
| Char Bagh | Outdoor front garden | 500 | 20,000 sq ft | Wedding ceremony, baraat arrival, large dinner |
| Chabutra | Outdoor | 250 | 20,000 sq ft | Haldi, welcome lunch, cocktail evening |
| Mardana Chowk | Outdoor courtyard | 350 | 20,000 sq ft | Sangeet, gala dinner, cultural evening |
| Morio Terrace (poolside) | Outdoor | 250 | Not listed | Pool party, cocktail, haldi |
| Zanana Deodi / Zanana Chowk | Outdoor | Not listed | Not listed | Women-led rituals, intimate functions, courtyard dinners |
Three of the larger spaces are each listed at about 20,000 sq ft, which suggests the sizes may be rounded or copied between entries. Take them as indicative.
The room count is the first number to nail down, because the sources disagree. One listing says 99, a directory says 102, and the categories on a planner listing (Luxury 7, Classic 21, Heritage 60, Signature Suites 3) add up to 91. Whichever is right, the planning conclusion is the same: this is a roughly 100-room property, and the resort lists about 250 guests as total occupancy, with a maximum of three guests per room.
| Category (planner listing) | Rooms | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Luxury | 7 | King and twin options |
| Classic | 21 | King and twin options |
| Heritage | 60 | The bulk of the inventory; rooms are listed as spacious |
| Signature Suites | 3 | Best for the couple's families |
| Total from categories | 91 | Does not match the stated 99; ask the resort for a written room list |
Our working rule is 0.4 to 0.5 rooms per guest. Couples and families share, cousins pair up, and your vendors, artists and own team need rooms too. A 150-guest wedding usually needs 60 to 75 rooms, and a 250-guest wedding needs the whole property. If you are above 200 guests, ask early whether overflow rooms are available nearby, and how those guests will be transferred.
| Rooms booked | @ ₹5,000 / night | @ ₹9,000 / night | @ ₹14,000 / night |
|---|---|---|---|
| 30 rooms | ₹3 L | ₹5.4 L | ₹8.4 L |
| 50 rooms | ₹5 L | ₹9 L | ₹14 L |
| 70 rooms | ₹7 L | ₹12.6 L | ₹19.6 L |
| 99 rooms (whole property) | ₹9.9 L | ₹17.8 L | ₹27.7 L |
Read this as pure room revenue over two nights, before tax and before any food. The spread is the lesson: the same 70 rooms cost ₹7 lakh or ₹19.6 lakh depending on the rate you negotiate. Rate is a larger lever than most families realise, and it is set by your dates, your block size and how early you book.
A guest review notes significant walking and stairs because of the staggered layout. For elders, anyone with limited mobility and families with prams, ask which room categories are on lower levels, whether buggies or wheelchairs are available (the resort lists wheelchairs as complimentary), and how far each room is from the main function space. Allocate rooms with that map in front of you.
The published per-plate range is ₹1,000 to ₹2,200. That is lower than Udaipur or Jaipur luxury palaces, and it is one of the reasons Khetri attracts weddings that want a heritage setting without a palace-level bill. Where you land inside the band depends on the menu, the function (lunch versus gala dinner) and whether you add live counters.
| Guests | @ ₹1,000 | @ ₹1,600 | @ ₹2,200 |
|---|---|---|---|
| 100 guests | ₹5 L | ₹8 L | ₹11 L |
| 150 guests | ₹7.5 L | ₹12 L | ₹16.5 L |
| 200 guests | ₹10 L | ₹16 L | ₹22 L |
| 250 guests | ₹12.5 L | ₹20 L | ₹27.5 L |
Five principal meals is a realistic two-night count: a welcome lunch, a mehendi or haldi lunch, a sangeet dinner, a wedding meal and a reception or farewell meal. Breakfast is listed as part of the wedding inclusions, so confirm it sits inside the room rate and does not appear again as a food line.
Per-plate pricing is the line families argue about most and the line that moves the total least. In our sensitivity test (Section 11), a ₹200 change per plate shifts a 150-guest wedding by about ₹1.8 lakh. An extra night shifts it by about ₹15 lakh. Negotiate the big levers first.
Published estimates put venue hire for the banquet and lawn at ₹2 to ₹7 lakh. Ask exactly which spaces, which hours and which setup the figure covers, whether a second function in the same space on the same day is charged again, and what happens to the venue charge if you take a larger room block.
Published estimates run from ₹3 lakh to ₹12 lakh or more. The property already has heritage-style architecture, courtyards and terraces, so heavy theming is rarely needed. Fresh flowers, warm lighting, well-proportioned mandaps and good seating usually look more expensive than elaborate structures. Because the venue is remote, add transport and labour for décor teams coming from Jaipur or Delhi, and confirm load-in times and any restrictions on fixing, hanging or drilling in a heritage-style structure.
Starting split of the total décor budget: wedding ceremony 35-40%, sangeet 25-30%, reception or gala 15-20%, mehendi and haldi 10-15%, welcome event 5-8%. Reuse mandap frames, arches and lighting across functions to stretch the same investment.
These figures are our planning assumptions, not published rates: ₹2 to ₹10 lakh for a DJ, live band, folk artists and choreography for a 100 to 250-guest wedding, and much more for a celebrity performer. Budget artists' travel and stay separately, and check local sound limits and permissions for the after-party.
Our assumption is ₹2 to ₹6 lakh for multi-day coverage with a candid team, a traditional team and a cinematic film, with drone use subject to permission. The courtyards, terraces and hills give photographers excellent material, so experience pays here.
Our assumption is ₹2 to ₹10 lakh for coaches, welcome desks, hampers, luggage handling and hospitality staff, rising with distance and guest cities. This is the line most underbudgeted at a remote venue.
Our assumption is ₹5 to ₹11 lakh for planning and on-ground management at 100 to 250 guests, and nothing in the lean model, where the family manages directly. The real value of a planner is the quote audit, vendor negotiation and timeline control that keep every other line honest.
This is the part most cost pages skip, and it is where budgets break. Use it as a checklist when you read any Abheygarh proposal.
| Item | What to confirm | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| GST | Is the quote exclusive of GST? Which lines does it apply to, and at what rate? Ask for a written tax breakup. | Can add a large amount to a ₹60-90 lakh wedding |
| Alcohol | Per-head package or consumption? Bar timings? Imported labels? | Usually outside the plate price |
| Meals in the room rate | Breakfast only, or other meals too? | Prevents double-counting food |
| Transfers | Airport pickup and drop is listed as chargeable. Rates, vehicle types, coach options? | A real cost at a remote venue |
| Extra guests | Per-person charge above the contracted headcount | Last-minute additions are common |
| Vendor and artist rooms | Rate and complimentary count for your team | Often billed at full rate |
| Outside vendor policy | Décor, sound, light, photography and catering entry rules, fees and deposits | The resort's policy may change, so get it in writing |
| Power and generator | Who supplies the load for sound, lighting and décor, and what is the backup? | Affects production cost and reliability |
| Sound and permissions | Late-night cut-off, music permissions, baraat movement, fireworks | Rural-road and neighbourhood rules apply |
| Entry and screening | A guest review mentions screening at the gate. How will your guests and vendors be cleared? | Delays at the gate can disrupt arrival and load-in |
| Outside diners and day guests | One review mentions a deposit for non-resident diners. Is there a charge for day guests at your event? | Matters if you invite local families for one function |
| Cancellation and payment terms | Listed as applicable but without detail. Room-release dates, attrition, refund schedule | Protects you if the guest list shrinks |
| Check-in and check-out | Standard times are 14:00 and 12:00. Early check-in and late check-out charges? | Arrival by road rarely matches check-in |
This is the model we use in a first planning call. These are illustrative planning figures built from the published ranges plus our own assumptions, not an Abheygarh quotation. Replace our assumptions with the numbers from your own proposal.
Total = (Rooms × Nights × Rate) + (Guests × Meals × Plate) + Venue + Décor + Entertainment + Photography + Guest logistics + Planning + 18% GST on hotel lines + 10% buffer
Assumptions: 2 nights, 0.4 rooms per guest, ₹9,000 per room-night (the middle of the published ₹5,000-14,000 band), 5 principal meals at ₹1,600 per plate, GST at 18% on hotel-billed lines only (rooms, food, venue). The lean model uses 35 rooms, 4 meals at ₹1,200 and no planner. We use 18% as a conservative planning figure; confirm the real rate for each line.
| Line item | 100 lean | 100 guests | 150 guests | 200 guests | 250 guests |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rooms (2 nights) | 35: ₹6.3 L | 40: ₹7.2 L | 60: ₹10.8 L | 80: ₹14.4 L | 99: ₹17.8 L |
| Food | ₹4.8 L | ₹8 L | ₹12 L | ₹16 L | ₹20 L |
| Venue hire | ₹2 L | ₹3 L | ₹4 L | ₹5 L | ₹6 L |
| Décor | ₹3 L | ₹6 L | ₹9 L | ₹12 L | ₹15 L |
| Entertainment | ₹2 L | ₹4 L | ₹6 L | ₹8 L | ₹10 L |
| Photography | ₹2 L | ₹3 L | ₹4 L | ₹5 L | ₹6 L |
| Guest logistics | ₹2 L | ₹4 L | ₹6 L | ₹8 L | ₹10 L |
| Planning | None | ₹5 L | ₹7 L | ₹9 L | ₹11 L |
| Pre-tax subtotal | ₹22.1 L | ₹40.2 L | ₹58.8 L | ₹77.4 L | ₹95.8 L |
| GST (hotel lines) | ₹2.4 L | ₹3.3 L | ₹4.8 L | ₹6.4 L | ₹7.9 L |
| Buffer (10%) | ₹2.2 L | ₹4 L | ₹5.9 L | ₹7.7 L | ₹9.6 L |
| All-in total | ₹26.7 L | ₹47.5 L | ₹69.5 L | ₹91.5 L | ₹1.13 Cr |
| Per guest | ₹0.27 L | ₹0.47 L | ₹0.46 L | ₹0.46 L | ₹0.45 L |
Four observations stand out.
Using the same unit prices, here is a 150-guest wedding over three nights, with seven principal meals and a slightly heavier production budget.
| Line item | 150 guests, 3 nights |
|---|---|
| Rooms (60 rooms × 3 nights) | ₹16.2 L |
| Food (7 principal meals) | ₹16.8 L |
| Venue hire | ₹6 L |
| Décor | ₹11 L |
| Entertainment | ₹8 L |
| Photography | ₹6 L |
| Guest logistics | ₹7 L |
| Planning | ₹8 L |
| Pre-tax subtotal | ₹79 L |
| GST (hotel lines) | ₹7 L |
| Buffer (10%) | ₹7.9 L |
| All-in total | ₹93.9 L |
| Per guest | ₹0.63 L |
At ₹93.9 L, the third night adds about ₹24.4 L to the two-night version. In exchange, guests are less rushed after a long drive, and photographers get more daylight.
Once you have a model, the useful question is not "what does it cost?" but "which decision changes it most?" Here is the sensitivity test on our 150-guest wedding.
| Decision | Impact on all-in cost | How to use it |
|---|---|---|
| One extra night (rooms, 2 more meals, one more function) | ₹15 L | Settle the number of nights before anything else. A tight two-night plan usually beats a stretched three-night one. |
| +20 guests (8 more rooms, 20 more plates) | ₹3.6 L | Every 20 guests is worth roughly ₹3.6 lakh. Tier the guest list instead of inviting everyone to everything. |
| Room rate +/- ₹2,000 per night | ₹2.8 L | Date flexibility and room-category mix are your real levers here. |
| Décor +/- 20% | ₹1.8 L | Spend where photographs and guests look: entrance, mandap, sangeet stage. |
| Per plate +/- ₹200 | ₹1.8 L | Worth negotiating, but the smallest lever on this list. |
Use this as a quick positioning guide. Figures are all-in from our model for a two-night wedding unless stated.
| Tier | Typical profile | All-in (our model) | Where to focus |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lean | 100 guests, simple décor, no planner | ₹26.7 L | Food quality, a beautiful ceremony setting, a firm timeline run by a trusted family member |
| Essential | 100 guests with a planner | ₹47.5 L | Clean execution, guest transport and a restrained but polished décor plan |
| Signature | 150 guests | ₹69.5 L | Balanced spend across ceremony, sangeet and gala; smart room tiering |
| Grand | 200-250 guests | ₹91.5 L - ₹1.13 Cr | Logistics, crowd flow, power backup and an on-ground team that can run parallel functions |
Khetri is in Shekhawati, a semi-arid part of Rajasthan. As a general pattern, October to March is the most comfortable window for outdoor functions, April to June is hot, and July to September brings monsoon risk. We could not find a resort-published peak-season calendar, so treat the points below as planning advice and not as confirmed pricing.
A wedding in Khetri is a logistics project first and a décor project second. These are the points we raise with every family planning a venue of this kind.
| When | Function | Suggested space | Budget note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Day 1, 1-2 pm | Arrivals, welcome lunch | Chabutra or the restaurant | Keep light; guests have driven for hours |
| Day 1, late afternoon | Mehendi and haldi | Morio Terrace or Chabutra | Colour over complexity; reuse florals |
| Day 1, night | Sangeet and cocktail | Mardana Chowk or Sabha Bhawan | Largest entertainment spend; fix bar model early |
| Day 2, afternoon | Baraat, varmala, pheras | Char Bagh | Your signature décor spend |
| Day 2, night | Reception and gala dinner | Mardana Chowk or Sabha Bhawan | Reuse ceremony structure with new lighting |
| Day 3, morning | Farewell breakfast | Restaurant | Keep simple; coaches depart |
The extra night buys breathing room after a long road journey. In our model it costs at least ₹15 lakh at 150 guests for rooms, meals and one more function, and about ₹24 lakh once production and venue costs rise with it. If budget is tight, a well-paced two-night wedding with a sensible arrival day usually feels richer than a stretched three-night one.
At a remote venue, guests appreciate something to do between functions, and a day-after outing turns a wedding into a trip. These come from the listings and local history sources we reviewed. Confirm opening hours before you promise anything on a printed itinerary.
Choosing Abheygarh is a decision about setting, scale and distance, not only price. Here is a framework for comparing it with other Rajasthan and Delhi-region options. We have not put prices for other venues here, because we do not want to invent them. Ask each venue for a written quote on the same dates, guest count and inclusions.
| Question | Abheygarh, Khetri | What to compare |
|---|---|---|
| Setting | Aravalli hills, heritage-style courtyards, a quiet small town | City palace, lakeside resort or farmhouse |
| Distance from Delhi | About 200 km; roughly three hours by road per a guest review | Two-hour farmhouse circuit vs a long-haul flight to Udaipur |
| Capacity | About 250 total occupancy; spaces from 80 to 500 | Many palaces and resorts have larger inventory |
| Published per-plate | ₹1,000 - 2,200 | Ask each venue for the same function and menu tier |
| Guest logistics | Coaches and a long drive; airport transfers are chargeable | City venues have shorter airport and station transfers |
| Heritage feel | Heritage-style build with local history | Original palaces vs recent builds |
| Review depth | About 22 reviews on one major listing | Older venues have hundreds of reviews |
If you want a heritage-style wedding close to a city with larger inventory and more vendor choice, look at wedding venues in Jaipur and compare quotes side by side. If you value a quieter setting, a manageable guest list and a three-hour drive from Delhi, Abheygarh is worth a site visit before you commit.
| Time before wedding | What to lock |
|---|---|
| 9 - 8 months | Guest count range, budget ceiling, three date options, site visit, written room list and first proposal |
| 8 - 6 months | Dates and contract, room block, payment schedule, function list, décor concept brief |
| 6 - 4 months | Entertainment, photography and film, menu tasting, save-the-date, guest travel plan and coach quotes |
| 4 - 2 months | Final décor design, artist contracts, transport and arrival schedule, room allocation by mobility |
| 2 - 1 month | Final guest list, rooming list to the resort, power backup and permissions, run-of-show draft |
| Final 2 weeks | Vendor load-in plan, weather and cold-night fallback, arrival guide to guests, on-ground briefings, final payments |
Published market indications put a wedding for 100 to 250 guests at roughly ₹25 lakh to ₹90 lakh or more. The resort does not publish wedding rates. Our model puts a 150-guest, two-night wedding at about ₹69.5 L all-in with GST and a buffer, and a lean 100-guest wedding near ₹26.7 L.
The published range is ₹1,000 to ₹2,200 per plate. Where you land depends on menu tier, function and live counters. Alcohol is typically separate.
Planner estimates for a wedding room block are ₹5,000 to ₹14,000 per room, while online booking sites show about ₹19,200 to ₹26,600 per night for a standard room. Confirm what your block rate includes.
Sources say 99 and 102, and a planner listing's categories add up to 91. Ask the resort for a written room list.
A planner listing shows total occupancy of about 250, with individual spaces listed from 80 to 500. Capacity depends on layout, so confirm it function by function.
Listed spaces include Sabha Bhawan (indoor banquet), Kapad Dwar (indoor), Char Bagh (front garden), Chabutra, Mardana Chowk, Morio Terrace by the pool, Zanana Deodi and Zanana Chowk.
We did not find official package pricing. The wedding inclusions listed are bottled water, hot and cold towels, a welcome drink, a newspaper, a welcome by the hotel and breakfast.
Published estimates for banquet and lawn hire run from ₹2 lakh to ₹7 lakh. Ask which spaces, hours and setups the figure covers.
Usually not in headline figures. Ask for a written tax breakup for rooms, food and venue.
Policies may change, so get the current policy, charges and restrictions in writing before you plan around outside vendors.
About 200 km south-west of Delhi, and roughly three hours by road according to a recent guest review. Check the route and timing on a live map for your travel day.
A listing gives 152 km to an airport (not named) and 12 km to the nearest railway station. Airport pickup and drop is chargeable.
October to March is generally the most comfortable window. December and January nights can be cold, so plan heating and an indoor fallback.
We recommend 6 to 9 months ahead, and earlier for peak dates or a large block. This is our planning advice, not a published policy.
In our model, a 150-guest, three-night wedding comes to about ₹93.9 L all-in, about ₹24.4 L more than the two-night version.
It suits residential, heritage-style weddings of 100 to 250 guests, especially for Delhi-NCR families. Confirm accessibility, vendor policy and cancellation terms first.
Published per-plate and room estimates are modest, but we have not seen verified Jaipur palace quotes alongside them, so ask each venue for a written quote on identical dates and inclusions.
The resort offers venue services, but a planner coordinates décor, entertainment, photography, guest transport and the quote audit across vendors. At a remote venue, ground coordination matters more.
