Search for Atharva Palace Jaipur wedding cost and you will find a mess. One listing says ₹750 per plate. Another says ₹2,000. One site counts 55 rooms, another counts 70. Almost none of them show what the final bill looks like once decor, taxes and 150 guests are added.
This guide fixes that. We collected the rates published on the venue's own website and on the major wedding platforms, marked the places where they disagree, and turned the rest into two budgets you can actually use: one for 100 guests and one for 200. If you are still comparing wedding venues in Jaipur, the same method works for any property on your list.
One honest note first. Everything below is a planning estimate, not an official quote. Hotels change rates by date, season and guest count, so use these numbers as a starting range and get the final figures in writing.
Quick answer: A 2-day wedding for about 100 guests at Atharva Palace usually lands between ₹27 lakh and ₹45 lakh before GST. For 200 guests, plan ₹55 lakh to ₹90 lakh before GST. The venue is only one part of that. One major listing quotes about ₹16 lakh per day for a full 70-room buyout with three meals and venue space. Decor, photography, entertainment and shuttles are extra, and GST comes on top of everything.
Atharva Palace sits on the Ajmer Road side of Jaipur, at Himmatpura Mod, Dhanyaka Choraha, near Bad ke Balaji on NH-48 (older listings still say NH-8). The venue's own website describes it as a resort on the outskirts of the Pink City, away from city traffic, with Rajputana-style architecture and green surroundings. One listing on BookMyWed puts it about 27 km from the city centre. That distance matters for budgeting, and we come back to it below.
A small warning on names. Listings at this location use several names: Atharva Palace, Kaara Atharva Palace, Caelum Atharva Palace and Sterling Atharva Resort. WedMeGood, for example, lists it as Caelum Atharva Palace, "formerly known as Atharva Palace Jaipur". Before you pay any advance, check the name of the operating company on the agreement and make sure your quote is for the right property under the current management.
This is where Atharva Palace works well for mid-size and large weddings. It has more than one lawn, so you can run different functions in different spaces without moving the whole setup. The table below follows the space-wise capacities published on Eternal Weddingz.
| Space | Seated | Floating | Best used for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Palace Lawn | 500 | 800 | Wedding ceremony, main dinner |
| Banquet Hall | 300 | 450 | Sangeet, cocktail, rainy-day backup |
| Rooftop | 300 | 500 | Cocktail night, after-party |
| Cottage Lawn | 300 | 350 | Mehendi, haldi, family lunch |
| Traveler Lawn | 50 | 100 | Small ceremonies, breakfast |
| Conference Hall | 45 | 55 | Planning room, vendor desk, meetings |
Other listings quote bigger lawn numbers, up to 1,000 seated and 1,500 floating, probably for a combined or larger lawn. Ask the sales team for a site plan with measurements before you lock the layout.
Rooms. The same Eternal Weddingz page lists 55 rooms in four categories: 23 palace rooms, 14 villa rooms, 10 standard rooms and 7 family suites, which are cottages with private sit-outs. Other platforms show 56, 63 or 70. The practical takeaway is simple. Count on roughly 55 to 70 rooms, which sleeps about 110 to 140 guests at double occupancy. A bigger guest list needs overflow hotels, and that changes your budget.
You will see different prices for the same venue because the listings are not talking about the same thing. A few reasons we see again and again:
Hotels like this usually offer three ways to book. Knowing which one you are being quoted saves a lot of confusion.
You hire the space and bring your own vendors. A WeddingWire listing shows rental-only pricing from ₹3 lakh per day. Several platforms say outside decorators and caterers are allowed, but always ask whether an outside vendor fee applies.
You pay for food per plate and for rooms per night. This is the most common route for a 2-day wedding because you control how many rooms you block and how many meals you serve.
One daily rate covers all rooms, three meals and the venue. WedMeGood shows about ₹16 lakh per day for 70 rooms including rooms, three meals and venue. Do the maths and that works out to roughly ₹22,900 per room per day, or about ₹11,400 per person per day if two people share. That is the single most useful number in this article. Use it to compare Atharva Palace against any other palace or resort quote you receive.
WeddingBazaar lists per-space rent between ₹80,000 and ₹1.5 lakh per day, with the banquet hall, lawn and rooftop priced separately. For a wedding that uses two or three spaces, expect ₹1.5 to ₹3 lakh per day in rent. Many hotels reduce or waive rent when you commit to a minimum number of rooms and a food spend, so ask for the rent to be adjusted against the package.
Published per plate rates vary by platform, but most fall in this band:
| Menu | Per plate (taxes extra) | Seen on |
|---|---|---|
| Vegetarian | ₹1,200 to ₹1,800 | WeddingBazaar, WedMeGood, Eternal Weddingz |
| Non-vegetarian | ₹1,800 to ₹2,500 | Eternal Weddingz, WeddingWire (300-guest range) |
| Live counters and premium menu | Add ₹300 to ₹800 per plate | Our planning assumption |
A 2-day wedding has about four main meal slots: a lunch on the mehendi or haldi day, the sangeet dinner, the wedding-day lunch and the wedding dinner. At a blended rate of ₹1,500 to ₹2,000 per plate, that is ₹6,000 to ₹8,000 per guest for food. Add high tea and late-night snacks if you want them. If you are building a larger menu plan, see how our catering services team handles multi-cuisine and Jain menus.
Many listings do not publish a clean room tariff, so here is how we plan it. For budgeting we use ₹7,000 to ₹9,000 per room per night for standard and palace rooms on a double-occupancy basis. That is our planning assumption based on comparable Jaipur resorts, not a quoted rate. Villas and family suites cost more. Ask for the current tariff card and check what the room rate includes. Breakfast is usually bundled; other meals usually are not.
Two things people miss. First, some venues count capacity with and without extra beds. Meragi shows 140 guests without extra beds and 175 with them, so ask whether the extra bed is free or charged. Second, a third night adds a lot. At 70 rooms, one extra night costs roughly ₹4.9 to ₹6.3 lakh.
Listings put starting decor at about ₹5 lakh. In practice, a three-function setup with a proper entrance, sangeet stage, mandap and lighting usually lands between ₹8 and ₹20 lakh in Jaipur, and a fully custom design goes higher. The property is not a centuries-old fort, so decor does more of the work here than it would at a heritage palace. That is a cost, but it also gives you freedom to design your own look. We break down themes and prices in our destination wedding cost in Jaipur guide.
These sit outside the venue bill. For a wedding of this size, plan ₹3 to ₹5 lakh for photography and video through a good photography and videography team, ₹1 to ₹3 lakh for a DJ or live band through entertainment services, and ₹1 to ₹2 lakh for welcome kits, permits, generator backup and small items that always appear late.
Here is how the pieces add up. All figures are in lakh, before GST, and use the ranges above. We have kept the assumptions visible so you can change them.
| Item | Low (₹ lakh) | High (₹ lakh) |
|---|---|---|
| Rooms: 50 rooms x 2 nights x ₹7,000 to ₹9,000 | 7.0 | 9.0 |
| Catering: 100 guests x 4 meals x ₹1,500 to ₹2,000 | 6.0 | 8.0 |
| Venue rent: 2 days | 3.0 | 6.0 |
| Decor | 5.0 | 8.0 |
| Photography and video | 3.0 | 5.0 |
| DJ, band, performers | 1.0 | 3.0 |
| Welcome kits, permits, power, small items | 1.0 | 2.0 |
| Planning fee | 1.5 | 2.5 |
| Total before GST | 27.5 | 43.5 |
That is about ₹27,500 to ₹43,500 per guest. GST comes on top of this, and most event services are taxed, so keep a buffer of at least 10 to 15 percent above these totals.
| Item | Low (₹ lakh) | High (₹ lakh) |
|---|---|---|
| Rooms: 70 in-house x 2 nights x ₹7,000 to ₹9,000 | 9.8 | 12.6 |
| Overflow: 30 rooms nearby x 2 nights x ₹4,000 to ₹6,000 | 2.4 | 3.6 |
| Shuttles between hotels and venue | 1.0 | 2.0 |
| Catering: 200 guests x 5 meals x ₹1,500 to ₹2,000 | 15.0 | 20.0 |
| Venue rent: 3 days | 4.5 | 9.0 |
| Decor | 10.0 | 20.0 |
| Photography and video | 3.0 | 5.0 |
| Entertainment | 3.0 | 6.0 |
| Welcome kits, permits, power, insurance, small items | 3.0 | 5.0 |
| Planning fee | 3.0 | 5.0 |
| Total before GST | 54.7 | 88.2 |
That works out to about ₹27,000 to ₹44,000 per guest, close to Scenario A. This is a useful check. If a quote for 200 guests comes in far below ₹27,000 per head, something is missing from it.
Sanity check against the package rate. Using the buyout figure of about ₹16 lakh per day for 70 rooms, two days cost around ₹32 lakh for rooms, food and venue. In Scenario B the same three items add up to about ₹32.7 lakh at the low end. The two methods land in the same place, which tells us the ranges are reasonable.
Planning a wedding with 300 guests or more? Atharva Palace's lawns can handle the numbers, but more than half your guests will sleep outside the property. Budget for overflow hotels, a proper shuttle schedule and a coordination desk at each hotel.
Most budget shocks come from things that never appeared on the first quote. Ask about each of these before you sign:
Our own rule is to put every one of these on the first budget sheet, even as a rough number. A realistic buffer for these items is 8 to 10 percent of the total budget.
Atharva Palace does not publish a seasonal rate card, so we use the pattern that holds across Jaipur. In our season guide, peak months from November to February cost about 40% more than the base rate, shoulder months such as September, April and March sit near the base, and summer dates can be about 30% lower. For month-by-month advice, read our guide to the best month for a Jaipur wedding.
There are two location-specific points. First, the lawns are open-air and the property is outside the city, so December and January nights can feel very cold after 10 pm. Plan heaters, covered seating and a warm menu. The India Meteorological Department publishes forecasts you can check as your dates get closer. Second, May to August is hot, and rain is possible in the monsoon. Keep the banquet hall as a confirmed backup and ask in writing how the venue handles a shift indoors. Here is how we handled a sudden downpour at another outdoor wedding: the rain story.
Booking window: for peak dates, start 12 to 18 months ahead. For shoulder season, 6 to 9 months is usually enough.
Costs below for other venues come from our palace venue comparison. The Atharva Palace row is our own estimate for 100 to 200 guests from the two scenarios above.
| Venue | Type | Rooms | Capacity | Wedding cost range |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Atharva Palace (estimate) | Resort-palace | 55 to 70 | 100 to 800+ | ₹27 to 90 lakh (before GST) |
| Chomu Palace | Heritage palace | 58 | 100 to 300 | ₹35 to 70 lakh |
| Samode Palace | Heritage palace | 43 | 80 to 200 | ₹50 lakh to 1.2 crore |
| Fairmont Jaipur | Luxury hotel | 245 | 200 to 600 | ₹60 lakh to 1.2 crore |
| ITC Rajputana | Luxury hotel | 218 | 150 to 400 | ₹50 lakh to 1 crore |
The honest summary: Atharva Palace is a good fit when guest count and flexibility matter more than a famous address. Choose a heritage palace if the setting itself is your priority. Choose a large hotel like Fairmont if you want every guest under one roof.

You can book Atharva Palace directly. Many families do. But a venue with 55 to 70 rooms, several lawns and flexible vendor rules is exactly the kind of place where planning decisions change the bill. Room math, overflow hotels, shuttle timing and vendor entry rules are easy to get wrong if you only see the venue's side of the quote.
A good planner earns the fee in three ways: negotiating room blocks and rent, building a budget that includes the hidden items before they surprise you, and running the days so your family is not fixing problems at 11 pm. If you are looking at wedding planners in Jaipur, start with a free consultation and ask each one to show you a line-item budget, not a single total. For 100 guests over two days, plan about ₹27 to ₹45 lakh before GST, including food, rooms, decor and vendors. For 200 guests, plan ₹55 to ₹90 lakh before GST. These are planning estimates built from public listings, so confirm with the venue.
Listed rates are roughly ₹1,200 to ₹1,800 for vegetarian and ₹1,800 to ₹2,500 for non-vegetarian, with taxes extra. Lower figures such as ₹750 to ₹950 refer to basic banquet packages.
Seated capacity for the Palace Lawn is about 500, with up to 800 floating. Some listings quote larger lawn numbers up to 1,500. About 110 to 140 guests can stay in the rooms.
Listings show between 55 and 70 rooms. One breakdown lists 23 palace rooms, 14 villas, 10 standard rooms and 7 family suites. Ask for the live room count on your dates.
Several platforms say yes. Rules and fees can change, so get the vendor policy in writing before you sign any contract.
Listings say alcohol is allowed. Ask whether you must buy through the hotel, whether corkage applies and who arranges any permit.
November, February and early March offer the best balance of weather and availability. December and January can be very cold at night on open lawns.
For peak dates, 12 to 18 months ahead. For shoulder season, 6 to 9 months.
Per plate rates are generally lower, but your total depends on guest count, decor and overflow rooms. A heritage palace may cost more yet need less decor.
Not required, but a planner helps with room blocks, vendor rules, shuttles and a full budget. Look for one who gives a line-item estimate, not a single figure.
Atharva Palace is a practical, spacious choice on the Ajmer Road side of Jaipur. The per plate rates are fair for the market, the lawns scale well, and the vendor rules look flexible. The risks are in the details: a limited room count, a long drive from the city, and listing data that does not agree.
Use the budgets above as your starting range, ask the questions in the checklist, and insist on one written all-in quote. If you want help building that quote line by line, talk to our team of wedding planners in Jaipur or send us your dates and guest count. We will reply with a venue-wise estimate within 48 hours.
